The semi-biographical martial arts film Ip Man chronicles the life of the Wing Chun grandmaster. Known as the first person to teach Wing Chun martial arts Ip Man was master of a martial arts school in Foshan. A way-point where martial arts masters of all schools set up in hopes of attracting a following. Along with a great pool of talent the city brings many conflicts and challengers and this is where the plot of Ip Man thrives. A solid story backed by magnificently choreographed martial arts scenes put Ip Man as my top martial arts film of the decade.
