With a title like Cowboys & Aliens it appeared as though director Jon Favreau would have a humorous action blockbuster on his hands once again this summer. What did we find instead? An amnesiac Daniel Craig moseying about with a band of inexcusably empty-eyed characters as they struggle to repel an alien invasion that threatens the planet and more importantly in a western, our gold. Overall the film plays out like the average summer action flick as its genre merging mayhem falls short as the pivotal points that make westerns and science-fiction films great are left undeveloped or entirely missing.

I have mixed thoughts of this movie, which I just watched. Over all I think it was an OK movie, some bad acting in some cases, but over all not bad. Decent premiss and OK plot line.. I'd probably not buy it, and I liked that I only paid $3.25 to get in (although I didn't like the $10.00 for the food...)... But over all, I don't think it was a waste of money.

All-in-all it was a pretty mediocre summer movie that is pretty forgettable. Maybe I had just had higher hopes going into it and was more greatly disappointed because of it.
