Taking us to the underbelly of the democratic primaries we find a idealistic golden mind Stephen (Gosling) who is leading the Morris campaign to victory when the underhanded tactics of his opposition spin him down a trail of doubt, and regret. The film follows theme of duality in politics that carries from the story, to the high-contrast cinematography to create a visually and psychologically appealing political drama.
